This is a Gladstone stye bag made by Holland Brother for "J. Peterman"
As you can see from the pictures, it's well used for its purpose. In other
words it has great patina. There are no holes or rips, Stitching is all in
great condition. Interior is very slightly musty but a full airing out or a
sachet of herbs etc will sort that out, no mould of other problems. There is an
inside zippered pocket. The lining is some kind of cotton and is stiff but has
no holes, only some marks. Last picture was shot indoor and is not the correct
colour, I use it for detail.
It comes as you can see with the original shoulder strap, often missing. It
has the original key caddy with brass key that works. The only thing missing is
the baggage tag, also often missing.
It measures on the outside approximately 19 x 14 x 8 inches.
It holds a lot more than it looks.
